Technical Delegates

Background 

Due to the increase in the number of events Volleyball England is staging Volleyball England is seeking to add to its team of Technical Delegates who help deliver major events at a variety of venues.  

 

The Role 

The Technical Delegate supports the Event Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the event by meeting all Volleyball technical requirements. Their primary focus is on the Field of Play (FoP), while the Event Manager handles areas outside the FoP.

Technical Delegates not only have experience in the technical conduct of events but also to be well informed in specific areas of increasing importance such as coordination with technology, event presentation and livestreaming. 

Volleyball England is seeking Technical Directors with strong interpersonal skills who can foster a collaborative environment and efficiently and diplomatically address and resolve issues.

Technical Directors must also have a working knowledge of FIVB/WPV Rules, of the Game and FIVB/CEV/WPV/PVE/Volleyball England competition rules and regulations and demonstrate high attention to detail to ensure compliance.

Training 

Training will take place on Wednesday 11th December (online) between 7.30pm to 9.30pm and during the Five Nations Championship (in person) from 3rd to 5th January at the National Volleyball Centre. 

All training costs (travel within England, accommodation from 3rd-5th January and subsistence) will be met by Volleyball England.

Project Lead (Talent)

Want to take a central role in developing talented Junior and Senior volleyball players as they play for England, both indoor and on the beach?

Volleyball England is seeking a Project Lead (Talent) to lead on the delivery of Volleyball England’s Talent Pathway Programmes and supporting the Volleyball For Life Sub Group in their responsibilities towards the Volleyball England strategy, The Game Plan.  

The Project Lead will work within the Talent Team as Volleyball England strives to achieve its strategic priority of creating an enhanced Talent system that provides opportunities and supports players to achieve their potential across all formats of the sport. 

In addition, the role will support the Beach Performance Programme activities and generally contribute to the success of the England senior and age group teams.

Gorse Academies Trust Sports Coach (Volleyball)

The Gorse Academies Trust is seeking to recruit a Sports Coach (Volleyball).

The purpose of this post is to provide exceptional coaching delivery across the Volleyball programme and to support with the development of an extra-curricular programme of national significance that compliments the ambitions of the Trust ‘Big 3’ initiative.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • A relevant level 3 qualification or willing to work towards.
  • A full clean driving license and daily access to a car as this role is based across multiple sites.
  • D1 license required OR be eligible and willing to complete a D1 license and MIDAS course.
  • Experience of successful coaching at club level.
  • The ability to form meaningful relationships with young people in the full age range of GORSE academies.

Note that evening hours and weekends will be required.

Talent Working Group Lead

If you're passionate about volleyball and want to play a key role in growing the game, Volleyball England wants to hear from you. 

The Talent Working Group Lead role, which is key to the delivery of certain projects around The Game Plan strategy, is open for appointment. 

The delivery lead, which is a voluntary position, will lead and develop their own Working Group and also report into a Sub-group.

Talent Pathway Coaches (Indoor and/or Beach) 

The purpose of these role is to be a member of the England Talent Pathway coaching staff in one or more roles, as designated by the appropriate Performance Director. 

Roles assigned will be based on current needs and priorities, as well as the volunteer’s skills, experience, and developmental potential. 

Talent coaches also help build a strong community of supporters who can aid in administering and promoting the England Talent Pathway. 

Please note: Candidates will need to fulfil several requirements, including, but not limited to: a current enhanced DBS check, carried out through Volleyball England, which is no more than three years old (costs covered by VE), and attendance at a recognised and valid Safeguarding and Protecting Children training course in the last three years (costs covered by VE).
